The promotion of equal opportunities is an explicit commitment of all members and participating institutions of this CRC 152. We intend to intensify our efforts in making this CRC even more attractive for female researchers at all career stages - from the encouragement of female students and PhD candidates to pursue a scientific career to the active recruitment of young female researchers for independent research groups and their promotion to project leader position.
A CRC Gender Committee as well a Gender Equality Representative have been elected.

Under the auspices of Trese Leinders-Zufall and Susanna Zierler several annual career mentoring and self-development worshops for female scientists will take place in close collaboration with the local networks and the bureaus of women's affairs.
